A 5 day tour down the Garden Route from Durban (via flight to Port Elizabeth, at additional cost) travelling via Tsitsikamma forest, the charming and picturesque town of Knysna and Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of the world, to Cape Town, the Mother City.
ITINERARY:
DAY 1 – MONDAY DURBAN – PORT ELIZABETH Transfer to Durban Airport for flight to Port Elizabeth. Transfer to hotel on arrival in Port Elizabeth. Remainder of day at leisure. [D]
DAY 2 – TUESDAY PORT ELIZABETH – KNYSNA Travel westward to Tsitsikamma Mountains and indigenous forests. Check in at hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Knysna. [B]
DAY 3 – WEDNESDAY KNYSNA Enjoy shops and atmosphere of this quaint town before lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve. Enjoy trailer ride to top of Western Head and walk back through Milkwood trees for lunch. Overnight in Knysna. [BL]
DAY 4 – THURSDAY KNYSNA – OUDTSHOORN Travel via Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn. Tour vast limestone Cango Caves, and Ostrich Show Farm (guided). Overnight in Oudtshoorn. [BD]
DAY 5 – FRIDAY OUDTSHOORN – CAPE TOWN Travel Route 62 via the ‘Klein Karoo’ and Montagu to Cape Town, where tour ends late afternoon. [B] Passengers may disembark, on request, at Cape Town International Airport.
